Why Dress in Layers

The more layers, the better. Dressing in layers of clothing does several things for you:

Layers fill up the space between you and your winter jacket with insulation. An undershirt, a shirt, and a sweater each represent one layer. Your winter jacket is yet another layer. The more layers of insulation, the better.
Layers tend to trap air better. If you have only an overcoat or winter jacket on, the warm air next to your body tends to leak out of the top and bottom of the overcoat or winter jacket as you make body movements. Layers help to hold this air in.

Layers allow you to regulate your body temperature more accurately. If you get too warm, you can always open up a layer, starting with opening up the top of your overcoat or winter jacket and progressively opening up more and more layers as you get warmer and warmer.

We really love the Hi-Tech Bomber Jacket. It is a popular winter jacket with clients re-ordering it.

There is a good stock level of the Men’s Hi-Tech Bomber Jacket in the Black and the Navy options. In the Ladies Hi-Tech Bomber jacket both Black bomber jackets and navy bomber jackets have good stock levels. The XX-Large of the black ladies is selling fast though.

The Hi-Tech Bomber jacket is a warm and comfortable winter jacket. The Hi-Tech Bomber Jacket has a zip away lining. This means that embroidery machines can get into the lining of the jacket and supply an embroidered jacket that does not have the inside of the embroidery scratching you or the clothing that you are wearing under the jacket.

What is a Bomber Jacket

A bomber jacket is a leather or nylon jacket with two front pockets, sometimes with sheepskin lining, and a zippered front. The waist and cuffs may be made of elasticized material. The initial bomber jacket was a heavy weight leather jacket, specifically designed for pilots who conducted bombing raids. Cockpits were not airtight, and early pilots often flew at elevations where it could be uncomfortably cold. The first bomber jackets were called flight jackets, and were produced by both the British and American Air Force.

In 1926, Leslie Irvin made the first sheepskin bomber jacket, supplying these comfortably warm jackets to the Royal Air Force in England through WWII. American manufacturers made the bomber jacket in several styles.

Today, a bomber jacket is used to describe a number of shorter styled padded jackets.
